Details

A self-guided tour that includes 2 nights camping + 1 night Cottage stay + 1 night “Glamping Tent”, for a total of 4 nights and 5 days.

Overview

All 4 nights of this trip are spent in small villages and mountain lakes.

This tour has been specially designed to help those of you who really want to “go it alone”, take your camping gear (but not lug it on your bike) and treat yourself to alternating “in” nights (think hot showers, fluffy pillows…!) to celebrate the journey. Accommodations are at some of the most iconic places along the KVR and priced to be affordable, especially for families and groups. Cycle touring has never been easier to organize!

Start from the historic village of Midway at the Kettle River Museum which is Mile 0 of the KVR. Travel through the Kettle Valley, along the Kettle and West Kettle Rivers, through small villages and settlements. Steadily climb your way upward to the Okanagan Highlands before descending via Andrew McCulloch’s engineering feat of Myra Canyon and its remarkable trestle bridges down into the Okanagan Valley.
